Math & Chemistry Teacher- FTE at Fraser Valley School. Crescent Heights Academy is an independent day school located in Surrey, BC. With 630 students from K-12 in 2024, our population will grow to 700 students in the following years. Our aim is to provide students with an inclusive community, a challenging academic education with a focus on character, critical and compassionate thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. Job overview : Full-time High School Math and Chemistry Teacher, responsible for delivering engaging instruction aligned with the BC curriculum, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of mathematics and chemistry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans in mathematics and chemistry for secondary students, utilizing effective instructional strategies
- Prepare assignments and projects to evaluate student performance
- Foster a positive, inclusive and respectful classroom environment
- Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and personalized support
- Adapt lessons and instructional materials to accommodate diverse learning needs
- Integrate technology into the teaching of math and chemistry to enhance student learning
- Supervise and evaluate student work, including homework, tests and projects
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities
- Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with educational regulations
- Perform other related duties as directed by the Head of School
Qualifications
