Math & Chemistry Teacher- FTE at Fraser Valley School. Crescent Heights Academy is an independent day school located in Surrey, BC. With 630 students from K-12 in 2024, our population will grow to 700 students in the following years. Our aim is to provide students with an inclusive community, a challenging academic education with a focus on character, critical and compassionate thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. Plans are underway to build a new, state-of-the-art 120,000 square foot facility on the current Diamond School site; over the next 3 years we will be planning and building to support our mission of building future-ready students. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans in mathematics and chemistry for secondary students, utilizing effective instructional strategies
• Prepare assignments and projects to evaluate student performance
• Foster a positive, inclusive and respectful classroom environment
• Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and personalized support
• Adapt lessons and instructional materials to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Integrate technology into the teaching of math and chemistry to enhance student learning
• Supervise and evaluate student work, including homework, tests and projects
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities
• Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with educational regulations
• Perform other related duties as directed by the Head of School

Qualifications
