Are you an experienced Account Manager with a background in the steel industry? A prominent Canadian-owned company in the Ancaster area is seeking a permanent, full-time Account Manager to join their team. This inside / outside role offers a competitive salary of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, complemented by profit sharing. If you have strong account management skills and a desire for career growth, this Ancaster opportunity is perfect for you.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both customers and vendors to ensure business success and client satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory effectively, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of all products within the warehouse.
  • Oversee daily operations and actively collaborate with a small, dynamic team to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Travel periodically to vendor locations, both domestically and internationally, to assess product quality and manufacturing processes. (15-20%)
  • Handle all aspects of pricing and costing for customer accounts.
  • Working onsite Monday to Friday 8-4 : 30
  • Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Account Manager or Sales Representative in the steel industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain key relationships with both vendors and clients.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate with many different personalities
  • A "go-getter" attitude with the capacity to learn from mistakes and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in creating sales invoices and lading documents when necessary.
  • Must be open to both domestic and potential global travel to meet with vendors.
