Summary of responsibilities
Function as a member of the Nursing Team at full scope of practice. Provide / administer nursing care to patients according to policies, procedures and to the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and CCH practice standards as well as embody a culture of caregiver inclusion in the patient’s plan of care.
Requirements of the job
- RPN in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Completion of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Demonstrated regular, punctual attendance
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety
- Holds RPN medication administration certification
- OR experience in an active OR setting within the last (2) years)
- Perioperative Course completion with certificate
- 1 – 2 years of surgical nursing experience
- Functional proficiency in English (oral and written)
- On-call shifts, occasional weekends
