Status : Full Time, Salary

Report to : National Retail Director

Job location : Christofle boutique, Royalmount, Montreal, Canada

Hours expected : 40 hours per week

Mandatory : Authorization to work in Canada

OVERVIEW

The Boutique Manager owns all aspects of the boutique’s performance. Responsibilities include the team, client development, sales, visual merchandising, product inventory management, and operations. Upon joining, they will receive in-depth training about Christofle’s history, company culture, and product catalog. This position reports to the Retail Director, and works with the Customer Service, Finance, Visual Merchandising, Marketing and Logistics teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Hire & Maintain a Top-Class Boutique Team

Seek candidates and hire sales specialists to form a high-performance boutique team. Enable, motivate, and develop each team member to make them successful long-term Christofle salespeople.

Effectively carry out all management responsibilities, including supervision of staff, scheduling, attendance, timecards, commissions, and performance evaluations.

Client Experience & Development

Maintain the client experience to Christofle’s standards. Build relationships with existing and new HNW clients. Recommend and implement clienteling initiatives targeting private clients, interior designers, estate managers, corporations. Lead by example and cultivate a “client first” approach across the team.

Propose and execute our own or other relevant client events in the area. Active networking in the local luxury retail community.

Sales

Responsible for reaching the monthly and annual sales target. Provides input to management to build ambitious and realistic goals for following years.

Visual Merchandising

With the help from Visual merchandising teams in NY and Paris, maintain impeccable boutique presentation, optimizing its attractivity and maximizing in-store traffic.

Inventory & Operations Management

Ensure “On-Shelf-Availability” targets are met. Responsible for boutique stock accuracy, collaborate with other boutiques to transfer products when needed, including Haute Orfevrerie creations.

Ensure all transactions are properly recorded in the system, from product reception to client invoicing and adhere to return policy. Provide reports, budgets, analysis, data as required by management. Effectively manage all customer backorder; keeping track of production lead times and communicating with clients and customer service to ensure timely fulfillment.

COMPETENCIES

Personal appreciation for beautiful design & ability to quickly become familiar with Christofle’s rich history and product catalog.

Leadership, ability to inspire and motivate a team, gaining their trust and leading by example.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Excellent selling, clienteling, networking, prospecting, and follow-up skills.

Excellent time-management & organization skills, ability to focus on multiple responsibilities : sales, client experience, team building, operations.

General agility with technology : POS system, Office Suite & social media.

Goal and results oriented.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 years of people management & proven team leadership.

Experience in interaction with HNW clientele.

Experience in boutique management for a premium or luxury brand.

Experience in tabletop industry not required.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization.

Retail store hours. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Routine computer, phone, scanner, photocopier usage.

Lifting, carrying, pushing, up to 35 pounds, sometimes heavier using hand truck.

Climbing stairs, ladders, reaching, bending often with materials in hand.

Standing for long periods of time.

Irregular hours especially during peak season and events.
