  • Job Title Community Support Worker – Adult / 5 Years Experience Required *Job Details • Private Engagement • Language : English • Location : Crossfield, AB – Rural • Full-time / Part-time *Job Description Do you have a passion to help people? Do you want to help those who need support to live in their homes, be part of the community and live their lives to the fullest? 30 hrs / week – Temporary to Permanent Compensation : Commensurate with Experience *Job Summary A pleasant team oriented and supportive environment to work in while providing support to a vibrant and mature adult with acquired brain injury within rural home and community environment. If you are a caring, reliable, punctual, and resourceful individual with a positive and happy disposition and talents to make a difference, this job is for you. In this role you are a strong believer in the right for all people to live a full life. The successful candidate is employed directly by the individual and the family through the Self-Manage Care program. The posting will remain open until a suitable candidate is found. *Responsibilities • Ensure client has adequate support while focusing on independence and autonomy with home and community living • Responsible for supporting various physical, cognitive and social needs of client • Plan and prepare nutritious meals • Supporting maintenance of a safe and personalized home • Access medical professionals and follow-up including assistance with medications when required • Carry out all aspects of person’s individual Support Plan and help achieve goals • Comfortable with rural and urban all-season driving, road trips and social outings *The Choice Candidate • Clean drivers license (Class 4 an asset), vulnerable sector and criminal records check • Experience and education / courses related to Human Services • Experience with mature adults, dementia, and brain injury an asset • Health Care Aide role with in-home experience • Demonstrated maturity and responsibility • Strong oral and written communication skills • Effective problem solving skills • First Aid and CPR certification • COVID-19 and related security is critical for individual and household Related Keywords : home care, mental health, dementia, private engagement, personal support worker, full time, part time, temporary, permanent, social services Please visit https : / / eldercare.com / jobs / seeking-compassionate-elder-care-provider-in-crossfield-alberta-18hourly-job-ab to view full details and to apply.
