Position Details

This position is for a 13‑month maternity leave contract for a Property Administrator and will be site‑based in Richmond, BC.

Location : Richmond, BC.

Approximate Salary Range : $59,042.00 to $60,000.00.

About the role

Strong client relationships are meaningful to you. You enjoy playing a central role in customer care by bringing superior interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a positive demeanor to everything you do. As a Property Administrator, you will assist the Senior Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager with all aspects of their roles. Your superior communication and organizational skills mean that you are able to respond to tenant inquiries, you exude professionalism, and your customer service skills are second to none. You also assist the team with regular reporting, budgets, tenant correspondence, and planning of events. You will gain hands‑on exposure to commercial property operations, financial reporting, tenant relations, and vendor coordination across a diverse portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • You develop and maintain strong relationships with property owners, occupants, vendors and contractors.
  • You respond in a timely manner to occupants’ needs to meet license agreement obligations.
  • You support the property manager by preparing regular ownership reports accurately and on time.
  • You efficiently run all administrative tasks, including work orders, service requests, rent and expense payments, property maintenance and vendor compliance requirements.
  • You will be responsible for vendor / contractor check‑in and reception duties.
  • You maintain organized records and ensure documentation aligns with internal controls, compliance requirements, and best practices.

What you’ll bring

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within commercial real estate; mixed commercial portfolio in retail, office, and industrial.
  • Strong decision‑making capabilities to provide high‑level service to tenants’ needs.
  • Excellent customer service skills, proactive, results‑oriented, and resourceful.
  • Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy, excellent product quality and attention to detail.
  • Experienced in working in a high‑volume environment.
  • Familiarity with real estate software such as Yardi, MRI, etc. Experience with contracts and license agreements.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full‑time basis. The employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
