What We Offer Comprehensive Training: Direct product training plus access to digital and physical tools to help you succeed. Professional Equipment: Service vehicle, tools, uniforms, mobile devices, and laptop provided for daily use. Work-environment: 40-hour guarantee (+ overtime), with most work at customer sites. Growth Opportunities: Opportunity to develop specializations and becoming local and international subject matter expert on distribution equipment This is a site-based position with requirements for nonstandard hours as required, supporting power distribution and critical power infrastructure across Canada. As a Field Service Representative, a typical day for you might include: Upgrading existing switchgear systems by implementing pre-engineered retrofit solutions to enhance reliability, safety, and operational efficiency. Troubleshoots equipment to identify and correct malfunctions. Performs preventative and corrective maintenance. Maintain, repair, retrofit, and provide technical support for all Schneider products, both in the shop and on site. Performs testing, inspection, calibration and replacement services on customer products. Performs basic and complex testing following industry best practices and standards utilizing a wide array of test equipment and tools. Consult with engineering and product support teams to resolve complex issues. Provide start-up services and ensure compliance with specifications. Build strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional service reports. Completion of field service reports, preventive maintenance, and startup data sheets On some days, you may even: Travel regionally or nationwide (including overnight trips) for customer support. Assist senior technicians and collaborate with Project Managers on large-scale start-ups. What We’re Looking For: Experience: Minimum 7-10 years in field service or equivalent industry experience Education: Engineering technologist, technician, journeyman electrician, or equivalent (Associate’s degree, trade/vocational certification, military training). Technical Skills: Understanding of AC/DC power principles and electrical components. Proficient in using mechanical tools to to retrofit electrical distribution equipment Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and interpret technical documentation. Skilled in using diagnostic tools and test equipment. Customer Focus: Excellent communication skills and customer centric attitude. Safety First: Prioritises safety in planning & execution following industry standards and SE policies. Other Requirements: Bilingual French/English (mandatory). Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting up to 40 lbs, working in confined spaces, and outdoor environments). Computer literacy (Windows software). Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
