Are you an articulate, customer-focused administrative professional seeking a rewarding, short-term corporate contract in downtown Vancouver, BC? If you thrive in dynamic office environments and are currently looking for a focused, one-month commitment, this opportunity is perfectly tailored for you. Randstad is actively recruiting a high-caliber Corporate Receptionist to provide essential business administration support for a premier corporate environment. This exclusive one-month contract role runs strictly from September 29th to October 30th, making it an ideal opportunity for professionals who are open to short-term contracts, those seeking to fill a brief gap in their resume, or individuals who prefer the flexibility of project-based assignments in the business administration field.

In this vital business administration role, you will serve as the initial point of contact for visitors and incoming calls, setting a warm, professional tone for the entire organization. If you possess exceptional interpersonal skills, a polished demeanor, and a proactive approach to front-office management, this short-term assignment offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your talent within a respected team, keep your administrative skills sharp, and add a prestigious corporate client to your professional portfolio without a long-term commitment. Operating in a modern, upscale downtown Vancouver office space located on the Granville Street corridor and easily accessible by public transit, this full-time temporary contract is specifically designed to provide essential vacation coverage, requiring a highly reliable individual ready to hit the ground running for a fast-paced month.

As a Corporate Receptionist operating within the business administration sector, your daily routine will involve a seamless blend of traditional front-desk management and general office coordination. Aligned with industry standards for receptionists and information clerks, you will handle a light-to-medium volume switchboard system, answering inquiries, and directing calls to the appropriate personnel with utmost professionalism. You will also greet occasional client arrivals and visiting executives with poise, providing information regarding office activities and maintaining a welcoming reception area. Beyond the front desk, you will actively participate in office services to keep operations running smoothly. This includes maintaining pantry stock and coffee stations, running the daily dishwasher, assisting with meeting room arrangements, and addressing general facility requests. Working within a small, close-knit team of two, you will benefit from comprehensive virtual meet-and-greet onboarding prior to your start date and continuous, supportive mentorship from on-site and remote team members throughout your one-month assignment.

Advantages
• Ideal one-month contract duration (September 29th to October 30th) perfectly suited for gig-workers, those seeking short-term work, or professionals exploring transitional opportunities in the business administration field.
• Competitive hourly compensation of $22.00 per hour with dependable, accurate weekly pay distributed conveniently via direct deposit through Randstad.
• Prime downtown Vancouver location along the Granville Street corridor, offering exceptionally convenient access to SkyTrain, bus transit, and surrounding local amenities.
• Consistent, predictable daytime business hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, fostering excellent work-life balance for the duration of the contract.
• Professional, upscale business casual workplace environment characterized by a welcoming, friendly, inclusive, and highly supportive corporate atmosphere.
• Thorough on-site training and mentorship provided by an experienced team member to ensure you feel completely confident before assuming independent coverage.
• Valuable hands-on experience building your resume and expanding your professional network alongside an industry-leading corporate client in the business administration field.
• Ongoing career support from Randstad’s expert recruiters who are dedicated to guiding your professional trajectory and connecting you with future contract or permanent opportunities.

Responsibilities
• Greet all office visitors, clients, and internal staff with warmth, polish, and distinction upon arrival at the Vancouver corporate location.
• Manage the central telephone switchboard system, answering incoming calls, screening inquiries, and directing messages accurately to team members.
• Perform essential general office services, including stocking office pantries, maintaining coffee and beverage stations, and running dishwashers daily.
• Assist with meeting room scheduling, physical furniture setups, and tidying up collaborative spaces before and after corporate gatherings.
• Coordinate general building and facility requests, working closely with building maintenance contacts and internal staff to ensure a seamless office environment.
• Monitor and maintain inventories of office supplies, pantry goods, and paper products, placing replenishment orders in a timely manner.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail, courier package processing, and internal document distribution with high organization.
• Provide general administrative support to on-site colleagues and remote managers, utilizing Microsoft Office tools to assist with document preparation and data entry.

Qualifications
Skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills paired with a refined, articulate, and courteous telephone presence.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an outgoing, approachable, and customer-centric approach to corporate administrative service.
• High level of organizational ability, time management, and attention to detail within a medium-paced corporate office atmosphere.
• Versatility and adaptability to act as a proactive, hands-on administrative support professional across front-desk and office service duties.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and general familiarity with SharePoint platforms.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong commitment to fully complete the designated contract timeline.
• Ability to work self-sufficiently while collaborating constructively with on-site colleagues and remote supervisors.

Requirements
• Proven experience as a Corporate Receptionist, Front Desk Coordinator, or Administrative Support Specialist in a corporate environment.
• Practical familiarity operating multi-line switchboard systems and standard office equipment.
• Functional competency using Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) for daily business communication and organization.
• Upscale business casual dress code adherence and a polished professional presentation suitable for client-facing reception.
