Shift Supervisor - Operations

Meridia is supporting a large and successful global pipe manufacturer and services business with their search for a Shift Supervisor.
Work with a diverse team in an environment with opportunities for career-related learning and growth on a 12-hour rotating shift and in a unionized environment.
Support with relocation expenses can be provided.
Responsibilities :
- Mitigate opportunities for failures across production processes by ensuring issues are diagnosed and corrected to ensure equipment and overall line availability and reliability are maximized.
- Comply with HSE procedures, report incidents and share observations, perform inspections, and participate in the investigation process.
- Analyze, interpret, and recommend courses of action for more complex topics.
- Lead team members during their assigned shifts, coordinate schedules, assign responsibilities, and ensure safe working conditions.
- Motivate, coach, and effectively communicate with your team and business stakeholders.
- Manage shifts in a production facility.
- Optimize productivity, meet quality KPI targets, and reduce downtime and delays.
- Perform quality and safety inspections.
- Meet training requirements.
- Coordinate with maintenance team and other internal stakeholders.
Qualifications :
- Degree / diploma in relevant area and min. of 3 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience with mechanical design and drafting using AutoCAD is an asset.
- Ability to perform failure analysis and provide solution-based ideas.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Intermediate experience with MS Office applications.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Analytical mindset and high ability to problem solve.
