MatchBox Consulting Group is recruiting for a Project Coordinator to join a well-established construction company delivering commercial and institutional projects across British Columbia. Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers and Superintendents throughout all phases of construction.
- Assist with project startup, document control, and contract administration.
- Coordinate RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
- Track project budgets, schedules, cost reports, and progress updates.
- Participate in subcontractor meetings and monitor project milestones.
- Assist with procurement, subcontract administration, and billing activities.
- Support construction planning, logistics, and scheduling efforts.
- Help coordinate permits and regulatory approvals.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Assist with project closeout, deficiency management, and warranty activities.
- Promote a safe work environment while supporting company health and safety standards.
Qualifications - Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- 1–3+ years of Project Coordinator experience on commercial, institutional, or other ICI construction projects.
- Experience working for a general contractor is required.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, project coordination, and contract administration.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software is considered an asset.
