Introduction

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Purchasing Analyst. This role is crucial in managing procurement activities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring efficient sourcing and pricing strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement processes, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments and affiliates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics/Accounting, or comparable education with additional experience
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the automotive industry, manufacturing, or high-speed production
• Strong working knowledge of procurement processes and experience in an enterprise systems environment
• Excellent written and oral communication and customer service skills
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• General understanding of legal contractual concepts
• Experience with Client Office Suite including PowerBI
• Proven record in process improvements and cost reduction activities

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Process requisitions, issue purchase orders, and manage price reconciliation and service contracts
• Negotiate new contracts and renewals for products and services
• Analyze technical specifications of spare parts and consumables and make sourcing and pricing recommendations
• Work with end users to define requirements and specifications
• Coordinate bid meetings for various projects
• Resolve commercial issues for procurement activities
• Identify new suppliers and assess their competitiveness on cost, capacity, quality, and other relevant factors
• Support departmental reporting for internal KPIs and external vendor performance
• Provide continuous improvement on cost control and cost reduction
