Now, we’re searching for a visionary Director of Fund Development & Communication to join our leadership team and help fuel our mission.
The Role :
As the Director of Fund Development & Communication, you’ll partner closely with our CEO to chart a sustainable path forward for fundraising and community engagement. You’ll be at the forefront of building relationships that provide the financial foundation for our work, from individual donors and corporate sponsors to foundations and government agencies. In addition to leading our fundraising efforts, you’ll shape and elevate our public image, crafting messages that resonate and mobilize our community to take action.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Fundraising Leadership : Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure essential financial support. Your vision will be key in helping us grow.
- Mentorship & Team Leadership : As a strategic partner, you’ll lead, coach, and inspire a dedicated team, ensuring we’re all aligned with our mission and our values.
- Stakeholder Relations : Build and strengthen relationships with our community partners, donors, and key stakeholders. You’ll be the trusted face of our organization.
- Budget Oversight : Ensure our fund development budget is effectively managed, maximizing the impact of every dollar raised.
- Public Relations & Communications Strategy : Lead the way in developing a communications plan that enhances our brand, visibility, and reputation.

This is a highly strategic leadership function within the organization, accordingly, there are several must-have skills and knowledge that we will require :
Experience in formulating the big picture fundraising strategy; the planning and execution of fundraising and communications initiatives5-7 years of experience in management / leadership role with demonstrated success in business development, preferably in a not-for-profit organization or foundationCFRE certification - considered a strong assetPost-Secondary EducationG driver license, use of a reliable vehicle, clean driver abstractLive within an easy drive to Hamilton ONCompletion of employment references and background checksJ-18808-Ljbffr
