Bureau Veritas is looking for a Janitor to join our team in Montreal, QC.
Your main responsibilities are:
Perform routine maintenance within the laboratory (. cleaning bathrooms, cleaning kitchen, mopping and sweeping floors); Ensure any safety related maintenance items are addressed promptly; Perform outside building and grounds maintenance (. snow removal, spring clean-up, windows); Provide support to the Facilities Supervisor as required; Act as a backup point of contact for the landlord and contractors who have responsibility for maintenance of laboratory and building equipment (. HVAC, make-up air unit, plumbing, electrical); Any other related tasks.You are an ideal candidate if you:
Have a high school diploma (required); Have 1 year of general maintenance or equivalent experience preferred; Are eager to learn and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail; Have a positive attitude and great multitasking abilities;Can work independently and collaborate effectively in a team.
Work conditions:Ability to work in a fast-paced and under pressure environment;
Physically demanding tasks: work on your feet for long hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, painting, snow removal, spring cleanup;
Shift: day AND evening (full time)
