Precast Detailer

Responsibilities

• Detailing architectural and structural precast concrete members, including bridges, building and miscellaneous members
• Create Precast building layouts
• Working with structural and architectural contract drawings
• Other duties as assigned.

Technical Requirements

• Post-Secondary education in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Technology is preferred, however, less education combined with appropriate experience will be taken into consideration
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with drafting/detailing and experience using a computerized drafting software package

Business Requirements

• Ability to work in a steady and even pace to promote accuracy and quality of work
• High attention to detail
• Previous experience in the construction industry is an asset
• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings is a requirement

Cultural Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with individuals of various disciplines
• A team player with the desire to work collaboratively with others to improve existing processes
