PRODUCTION ASSEMBLER

Job Description

Our client is a manufacturer of mobile shower commode chairs, and they are currently looking to hire for Production Assemblers.

Location : Lawrence & Railside (North York, ON)

Shift : Monday to Friday 7am to 3:pm

Pay Range : per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble commode chairs and components with precision and care.
• Ensure quality control by verifying appearance, form, fit, and function of all products to meet customer expectations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues that may arise during assembly.
• Ensure all products comply with RAZ and industry standards.
• Adhere to regional regulatory compliance standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in reading technical blueprints and schematics.
• Strong mechanical dexterity, with experience using hand tools and fasteners.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in both team environments and independently.
• Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of assembly.


Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assemble commode chairs and mobility equipment according to technical specifications and work instructions.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions.
3. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to complete assembly tasks.
4. Inspect and test finished products to ensure quality and functionality.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve minor assembly and mechanical issues.
6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
7. Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies to ensure workplace safety.
8. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve assembly processes.
9. Attend daily assembly meetings at the start of each shift.
. Identify defective parts and complete documentation as required.
. Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
. Fulfill overtime requirements as necessary.
. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and blueprints.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
• Proficient in using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems is an advantage.
• Ability to lift up to lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Must be independent and reliable.
Physical Demands and Abilities:
• Regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to lbs.
• Required to stand, walk, and stoop for extended periods, typically over an eight-hour shift.
• Possess manual dexterity to consistently assemble parts accurately and efficiently
