Description de poste

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller on behalf of our client. The Corporate Controller will provide leadership across the controllership function while playing a critical role in strengthening financial processes, controls, governance, and organizational effectiveness. This individual will be expected to assess existing practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead meaningful change across the organization.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on, decisive finance leader who is comfortable operating in a complex environment, challenging the status quo, and leading initiatives that improve the effectiveness, consistency, and scalability of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership for the corporate accounting and controllership function, ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable financial reporting.
  • Lead the ongoing development and enhancement of accounting processes, policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Assess existing processes and controls, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and design and implement practical improvements.
  • Strengthen the internal-control environment, including financial controls, reconciliations, documentation, approvals, and risk management.
  • Lead initiatives focused on process standardization, automation, efficiency, and improved financial data and reporting.
  • Drive change-management initiatives across multiple functions and locations, ensuring sustainable adoption of new processes and ways of working.
  • Lead cross-functional finance initiatives from concept through implementation, including defining priorities, establishing accountability, and managing execution.
  • Partner with senior leadership and operational stakeholders to improve financial processes and decision-making across the organization.
  • Provide strong technical accounting and controllership leadership, including oversight of financial reporting, month-end close, audit, and compliance requirements.
  • Identify areas where existing practices or structures are no longer effective and make informed recommendations for change.
  • Make difficult decisions when required, balancing financial risk, operational realities, organizational impact, and long-term objectives.
  • Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards within the finance organization.
  • Develop and mentor finance professionals while building a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Lead and influence stakeholders across functions and geographies, often without direct authority.
  • Support senior leadership with analysis, insight, and recommendations on financial and operational matters.
  • Ensure changes to processes and controls are effectively implemented, documented, and embedded within the organization.
