French Teacher/Tutor Wanted
Eager to help students turn “Je ne sais pas” into “Oh la la”? Motivated to help support children’s French education outside of the classroom?
Oxford Learning Richmond Steveston has an opening for an upbeat, passionate, committed, enthusiastic, and dynamic French teacher who seeks work in a rewarding teaching environment. Our French Programs offer individual support to students looking to improve their academic skills and study habits. Candidates must possess a strong passion for seeing students succeed and must be comfortable teaching students ranging in age from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in French.
Tutor-teachers at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.
Position Requirements
All Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school (3:30pm - 7:00pm) as well as some Saturdays from 10:00am - 1:00pm. A commitment until the end of the term in June is preferred. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.
Candidates must possess a strong background in spoken and written French and English and be comfortable teaching up to a Grade 9 level, but up to Grade 12 is preferred. The candidate is required to instruct class sessions in French.
This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

In this position, you will play a key role in helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem. The rewards of helping children overcome academic hurdles and realize their inner potential can be very fulfilling. You will be rewarded with smiling faces and high-fives during every shift.
