Nanny

We are a family in Brantford, Ontario looking for a caring, reliable and experienced full-time nanny to join our family long-term. We have two school-aged children, ages 5 and 6. Our 6-year-old son is autistic. He is verbal and relatively independent, and we would love to find someone who is patient, caring and comfortable working with him. Previous experience with autism or children with special needs would be an asset, but is not required for the right person. This is a live-in opportunity. We provide private accommodation at no cost, including your own bedroom, closet and washroom. Food is also provided. This is an excellent opportunity for someone living outside Brantford who is willing to relocate rather than commute. Our preferred schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, with Sunday and Monday off. The typical schedule is approximately 7:00 AM–12:00 PM, followed by a break while the children are at school, and approximately 3:00 PM–8:00 PM after school. Exact hours and schedule can be discussed with the right candidate. Responsibilities include getting the children ready for school, childcare before and after school, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, laundry and general household duties. We are offering competitive pay based on experience and are willing to pay more for an excellent long-term candidate. For an eligible candidate who requires employer support with their immigration/work authorization, we are also open to discussing available legal options. Most importantly, we are looking for someone trustworthy, kind and dependable who genuinely enjoys being around children and is interested in becoming a long-term part of our household. Our previous nanny was with our family for two years, and we are hoping to build another strong, long-term relationship. We are looking to hire as soon as possible.
