Qualified candidates should apply for Robert Half's Senior Accountant/Senior Financial Analyst role with an organization in North Brampton Area area. . The duties are with in the revenue stream including property taxation and collection, assessment base management, accounts receivable, corporate cash receipting, corporate revenue and development charges. This Senior Accountant position is a 8 month contract position. There is a possibility to go perm. This role will need to be on site at least Once a week, need to be able to commute to the Dufferin-Caledon area.

How you will make an impact

- Assist in the preparation and review functions of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements

- Review account reconciliations and analysis, and journal entry approval

- Liaise with internal, external auditors as required

- Administer performance of certain controls over the financial reporting processes and assist in the design, review and evaluation of internal controls; Sarbanes compliance testing and reporting

- Analyze and investigate variances for various balance sheet accounts

• Reconcile sub-ledger to ledger for Tax Modules and Recreation module to general ledger including following up with departments to ensure transactions entered correctly and the preparation of supporting schedules for property tax ledger/FIR

Job Requirements:

- 3+ years of overall general accounting experience

- CPA, ACCA, FCCA designation is needed, or close to attaining

- Efficient in Great Plains or large ERP systems

- Month end closings experience highly desired

- Experience in Municipal or Non for Profit companies would be ideal
