Student, Accounting (Fall 2024)

About the Role

The Accounting team is looking for a student to work closely with the team for the Fall 2024 term. The Student will be part of a collaborative team of accounting professionals working together in the preparation, analysis and presentation of financial information for Brookfield Renewable.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in and support the team in the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement close process;
• Learn Brookfield Renewable processes and propose improvements;
• Review general ledger account activities to ensure accuracy and make corrective journal entries;
• Maintain and reconcile monthly general ledger reconciliations;
• Generate monthly financial reports;
• Prepare weekly bank reconciliations;
• Provide support to the Manager in various related activities;
• Provide quarterly audit support to auditor questions and requests.

Knowledge Required

Note : Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 3 days to perform most effectively. We will reassess the approach on a as needed basis.
