10 Long Haul Truck Drivers Wanted

16 Prairie Place RM of St. Andrews, MB R1A 3P2

Start date as soon as possible.

Salary $30.25 / hour or 48 cents per mile, whichever is more. Full time : 40-50 hours per week.

Requirements :

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience not required, but is an asset
  • Class 1 / 1F / A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract)
  • Must be able to :

Travel for extended periods

  • Drive manual transmission vehicle
  • Do repetitive tasks
  • Sit for long periods
  • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
  • Use trip recorder (on-board computer)
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Load and unload goods up to 50 lbs
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Must also be able to complete driver logbook, accident or incident reports, trip reports.
  • Students, youth, veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces, visible minorities, persons with disabilities, Indigenous Canadians, newcomers to Canada, seniors and apprentices are all welcome and encouraged to apply if qualified. Selection will be based on merit alone.
