THE POSITION

The Payroll Administrator is a meticulous, detail-oriented professional responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently for all employees. The successful candidate will handle various payroll-related tasks, including data entry, calculations, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. This role demands strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.

HOW YOU WILL BE MAKING AN IMPACT

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Handle payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and timekeeping.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles, as well as department / division transfers.
  • Prepare reconciliations, and enhance reporting and analysis of payroll related costs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll data and ensure secure processing.
  • Support the finance team with other accounting related tasks as needed.
  • WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU REQUIRE

  • Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Strong understanding of payroll practices and regulations.
  • Experience with US payroll taxes is preferred.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with general accounting principles is an asset.
