We are proud to be partnering with a leading firm that has a well established office in Edmonton, as they search for a talented Senior Job Captain / Senior Architectural Technologist to join their busy office.

THE JOB

As an experience Architectural Technologist, you will be involved in the following :

• Create comprehensive working drawing packages and construction documents packages for submission and tender
• Liaises with client through various phases of the project to ensure client satisfaction;
• Work with establishing, maintaining and adherence to project budget and schedule.
• Supervises preparation of technical drawings by other less experienced architects or professionals.
• Prepares client presentations and presents drawings.
• Ensures that construction detail documentation conforms to QA / QC and Best Practice standards.
• Mentors and directs the work of less experienced technical staff, leading a team of technologists
• Prepare drawings and documents for permit applications
• Participates in team meetings to help resolve project issues, coordination with other disciplines, schedule adherence, and technical issues.
• Participates in project reviews regarding project costs, budgets and adherence to schedule.
• Communicates in a clear, concise, and professional manner at all times, both verbally and in writing and will have regular interface with clients.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• 12 + years of relevant industry experience
• Possess a range of project experience
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines is essential
• Strong experience and knowledge of the national building code and bylaws
• Excellent knowledge of BIM 360, Revit skills as well as knowledge of other programs such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, SketchUp and 3D rendering softwares are an asset
• Dedicated work ethic, strong communicator
• Good leadership skills, experience leading teams and overseeing production on projects
• Good client liaison skills
• Able to provide technical drawings / portfolio in the hiring process
• Able to work in Edmonton, Alberta and located there
