  • Champions a client focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Plans and performs research, building proposals to create a pathway for innovation and change.
  • Provides a high level of acuity in analysis and synthesis of research insights from multiple sources of data.
  • Identifies themes and connections between different user groups and across industries.
  • Develops content for key strategic presentations and other strategic products.
  • Creates powerful visually based artifacts that will easily and simply convey current and future experiences, principles, frameworks and more.
  • Demonstrates a deep interest in understanding clients, leveraging design research principles as well as an intuitive ability to solve problems from a human-centric viewpoint.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and agility to respond to evolving business needs.
  • Influences peers and business line through strategic recommendations and relationship building to embed a human-centered approach to solutions and product implementation.
  • Fosters a collaborative, innovative, challenging and supportive team environment.
  • Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML / ATF / sanctions and conduct risk.
  • Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed?

  • 5 years’ experience in planning and executing human-centered customer experience strategy and research projects with actionable outcomes.
  • Experience in design, consulting, consumer insights an asset.
  • Proven ability to synthesize data and present insights into meaningful outcomes.
  • Ability to write and edit clear and concise communications.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, comfortable communicating directly with senior executives
  • Attention to detail and time management are essential.
  • Demonstrates a positivity and resilience; able to embrace feedback and have a desire for continuous iteration and improvement.
  • Comfortable working in a self-guided manner with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage own time efficiently.
