If so, this role will put your strengths to work.Our client is seeking a Director, Global Sourcing & Supply Chain to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations across North America and abroad. This role requires an active, hands-on leader with strong follow-through, root-cause problem-solving skills, and the negotiation strength to move products from concept to shelf efficiently and accurately.This position is critical to driving cost competitiveness, operational excellence, and sustained product availability across retail channels.Key Responsibilities:Sourcing & Procurement:- Own all global sourcing and purchasing activities, including supplier negotiations, cost competitiveness, and lead-time performance.- Establish and manage supplier KPIs to drive accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.- Implement dual-sourcing strategies to mitigate risk and secure supply continuity.- Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships abroad.Production & Purchase Order Management:- Ensure timely PO creation, tracking, and factory follow-up to avoid delays and maintain service levels.- Monitor production schedules daily, identify risks, and implement corrective action plans.- Lead weekly production meetings with international production teams to review open POs, risks, and solutions.- Standardize reporting to provide visibility and improve decision-making.- Proactively assess supplier capacity requirements based on product and channel needs.Supply Chain Operations:- Partner with the Business Planning team to forecast inventory, manage replenishment, and support retail channel strategy.- Lead initiatives to reduce lead times and improve agility from factory to customer.- Ensure accurate reporting of PO pipelines, forecasts, and production timelines.Process & Productivity Improvements- Enhance and standardize processes across procurement, logistics, and distribution to drive efficiency.- Champion data-driven decisions through systems accuracy.- Optimize container planning, freight, and logistics to increase cost-efficiency and speed.- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.Qualifications:- 7-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, global sourcing, or procurement, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.- Proven experience leading teams in procurement, production/PO management, and overseas supplier follow-ups.- Must have experience managing factories abroad and procurement operations for retail distribution.- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of optimizing costs, performance, and supplier results.- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and ability to influence stakeholders.- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with ERP.- Thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment with tight timelines and retail expectations.Who Will Succeed in This Role- Hands-on, assertive, and persistent leader- Thrives under pressure with major retail customers and tight deadlines- Strong communicator and negotiator who drives results daily- Operates with a continuous improvement and solutions-driven mindsetPlease send your resume in Word format to Jill Kalakay at jillk@quantum.ca.REFER A PERM HIRE AND EARN UP TO $1,000!
