Wait, I apologize. The Winding Operator is responsible for setting up and running the winding machine, ensuring proper operation based on setup instructions and technical specifications. This role involves loading control media or inputting commands toUNDER retrieve programmed data for machine operations, ensuring accuracy and smooth production processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate the winding machine, including loading programs into the machine and executing them.
• Load the raw materials (e.g., prepregs, fiber spool, etc.).
• Set up the machine for winding.
• Monitor the machine to ensure proper program performance.
• Prepare and set up mandrels for production.
• Operate ovens and monitor the curing process of winded parts as required.
• Verify part accuracy using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other metrology equipment per work instructions and customer specifications.
• Ensure proper machine operation and report any issues or suspected issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Identify and address nonconforming parts, conditions, and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Manage time‑ and temperature‑sensitive materials.
• Support development activities and onboarding of new programs.
• Propose improvements to manufacturing processes.
• Perform self‑quality checks during the production process.
• Record production and inspection results per work instructions.
• Meet production schedule and requirements.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma (or equivalent experience)
• 1‑3 years experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• High attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated, quick learner.
• Ability to use power tools, cutting tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and/or blueprints and follow demonstrated steps.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
