What to expect :

The Change Management and Communications Lead, Strategy Realization Office works in collaboration with other members of the Strategy Realization Office (SRO), to lead change management and internal communications efforts. Their focus will be on content related to the development and execution of the organization's strategic plan and associated initiatives.

You will join a dynamic, innovative team that is key to furthering CWB's strategic aim of being a global leader in the Materials Joining and Allied Technology Services (MJATS) Industry.

Responsibilities include :

Change Management

  • Applying a structured methodology to consider change management and other people impacts of strategic work within the organization
  • Using a defined process and framework to assess impacts on culture and leverage strategic changes to support an enhanced employee value proposition. This may include conducting a Change Impact and Organizational Readiness Assessments
  • Partnering with SRO members as well as management to design strategic approaches to managing change, work with them to roll out changes
  • Evaluating resistance in adopting changes
  • Developing resources for employees and people leaders to support successful change (job aids, FAQs, etc.)
  • Developing and deliver training materials to support buy-in to the organization's strategy
  • Creating and implementing change and change communications plans to support initiatives across the business,
  • Defining and measuring success metrics to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of communications and change management efforts, leveraging this data to inform continuous improvement on future initiatives
  • Conducting post-implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of the change related plans and initiatives

Strategic Communications development and execution

  • Preparing, implementing and evaluating high-quality and innovative communications plans for strategic plan development and execution
  • Designing and delivering activities to create excitement, engagement and enthusiasm around strategic initiatives
  • Developing and producing effective, wide range of high-quality communications materials related to strategic initiatives that tell a story tailored to the target audience, to drive awareness and adoption of changes
  • Translating complex information into clear, simplified messaging through a variety of verbal and written communication channels
  • Writing communications on behalf of the President / CEO, VP Strategy & People, and other members of the Executive Leadership Team
  • Assisting with preparation of strategic briefings and updates for the Board of Directors
  • Collaborating with business unit stakeholders and cross-functional groups to develop, align, and roll out a variety of communications across various communications channels
  • Planning and project managing events including strategic kick-offs, recognitions, and celebrations
  • Scheduling, managing, and aligning communications across the organization so the right messages are received by the right audiences at the right time
  • Working with internal partners across the enterprise, including the Marketing department and Human Resources, to craft additional internal communications materials as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

    This position currently reports to the Chief Strategy Officer but will be a dynamic position that will provide a diverse experience in a wide range of business lines within CWB Group and our partner organization, EWI. You will be working remotely from your home office with occasional travel to locations across Canada and the USA

  • What you bring to the table :

  • University degree in Communications, Journalism or relevant field OR a combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years relevant communications and change management experience
  • Understanding of best practices and emerging trends in strategic communications, issues management, internal communications
  • Proven experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, tools and applications
  • Demonstrated project management experience and working collaboratively to achieve the best results, on time, effectively and efficiently
  • Change Management Certification (e.g. PROSCI) or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and experience developing communication for a variety of audiences using multiple channels
  • Demonstrated success in the development and implementation of strategic change management and communication plans, campaigns, projects, and initiatives and events
  • Experience and interest in communications with broad and diverse stakeholder populations
  • Intuitive, thought leader and effective storyteller
  • Ability to work independently and on various tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Must be highly motivated, self-directed, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills. Flexibility with changing priorities, and the ability to remain focused on meeting targeted timelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office : Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams
  • Positive attitude and desire to learn and grow
  • ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This is primarily a remote, work from home position, with occasional travel required
  • The following qualifications are considered assets :

  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
  • Ability to use the Adobe suite of products, especially InDesign and Photoshop, and other tools to create and edit collateral materials when needed is considered an asset
