Responsibilities of the Position
- Responsible for the operation and safety of the aircraft they command and for all those on board during the flight;
- Assist in monitoring on-board geophysical equipment;
- Complete preflight inspections and postflight reports;
- Liaise with foreign aviation authorities;
- For each flight, become familiar with : the planned route / flight plan; the aerodromes planned for normal and emergency use, and the survey navigation equipment and ensure that it is in working order.
- Ensure the following has been met : the flight as planned can be made safely; and the aircraft equipment including emergency, survival and safety equipment are installed.
Qualifications and Experience
A valid commercial pilot´s licence with group 1 instrument rating;A valid passport or the ability to obtain a valid passport for the purpose of traveling globally;Willing to travel to our global survey sites;Previous survey flying experience;International flying experience an asset;Experience on de Havilland Twin Otters; andAdditional languages an asset.Benefits
