Pembina Hills School Division (PHSD) is now accepting applications for Substitute Teachers to join its substitute teacher pool and work at various school locations throughout the division. Applicants are asked to indicate their preferred location(s) in their cover letter.

Substitute Teachers provide classroom instruction and supervision in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. Successful candidates must be flexible, dependable, and willing to work collaboratively as part of a school‑based team.

Pembina Hills School Division (PHSD) provides education to approximately 3500 students. PHSD also serves over 1300 full‑time and 5300 part‑time school‑aged students, adult students, and nearly 4600 summer students through its online school.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Alberta teaching certificate
• Proficiency in the use of educational technology
• Facilitate an inclusive environment for all students
• Successful classroom teaching experience
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work in a flexible learning environment
