Description de postePatrol Hospital Grounds : Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site. Monitor Surveillance Systems : Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities. Access Control : Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas. Respond to Emergencies : Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist hospital staff as needed during crises and evacuations. Provide Customer Service : Greet and assist visitors, patients, and hospital staff. Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to hospital policies and procedures. Conflict Resolution : De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally. Report Writing : Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately. Complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns. Collaboration with Hospital Staff : Work closely with hospital staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved. Enforce Hospital Policies : Ensure that hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols, are followed. Address any violations in a manner that upholds hospital safety standards. Ability to obtain Security License for the province of Nova Scotia Valid Standard First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a CSA-approved vendor) COVID Vaccine two doses Immunization records for mumps, measles, rubella, varicella and two step TB skin test English (oral and written) fluency is a must Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF / MOAB training program prior to onboarding to ensure they meet the requirements Training is not paid as a pre-requisite; Paladin will cover all training costs with a 6-month commitment to the position / availability Why choose Paladin? Overview Job Skills / Requirements : Harbour View Hospital is a long-term care and rehabilitation care facility. The hospital is divided into two specific areas : continuing care and rehabilitation. Within the continuing care area is a unit specifically designated for war veterans.

- Hours : 0700-1900hrs, 1900hrs-0700hrs
- Payrate : $20.50
