Voyago is hiring a Part-Time Patient Transfer Attendant for our Kitchener Location

Your Role

  • You are responsible for the safe transport of patients via stretcher / wheelchair to / from a healthcare facility, nursing home, or private residence
  • You can provide outstanding customer service
  • You have excellent communication skills

Requirements

Your Profile

You must possess the following qualifications :

  • Your valid First Responder Certification OR Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant Certification is preferred OR are working towards a Paramedic Diploma (must be finished year 1) OR are a Fire Fighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification

    • If you do not have either, we schedule free training for First Responder certification

  • with 6 month employment commitment
  • You have Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent
  • You possess a valid G class driving license.
  • You have the ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with partner.
  • You can effectively communicate in both verbal and written English.
  • You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
  • You can obtain a clean criminal record search and / or vulnerable sector screening
  • You have up to date immunization records and can provide the following records of : MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses),
  • TB Skin Test (Step 1)
  • must be valid within last 12 month.
  • You are comfortable with 12hrs shifts
  • You are available for 12hr, day shifts, Monday-Friday (floating shifts)
