Description
The Northwest Territories Recreation and Parks Association (NWTRPA) is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support the delivery of Activate NT, a territory-wide youth leadership and recreation initiative.
Activate NT supports youth ages 15–30 to plan and deliver community-based recreation projects across the Northwest Territories. The program provides grants, training, mentorship, and ongoing support, with a strong focus on leadership development, community engagement, and equitable access for youth in smaller and remote communities.
This is a term position from February to May 2026, with a time commitment of approximately 0.5–0.75 FTE, and the possibility of extension by mutual agreement. The position is based in Yellowknife. Working from home within Yellowknife is possible.
The Coordinator plays a key operational role supporting program participants, mentors, and vendors. The work involves frequent communication with youth participants, some of whom may require reminders, follow-up, and additional support to complete required steps. The successful candidate will be supportive, persistent, and diplomatic, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts at once.
