Job Description

What is the Opportunity? As part of the Data Protection team, you will be responsible for proactive identification and detection of threats / risks associated with databases assets. We are a team of security experts that are enthusiastic about solving complex problems and developing innovative security solutions. We engineer tailor-made detections that will reduce risk to our organization, employees, and clients. We are seeking a skilled Database Activity Monitoring specialist to strengthen our team and play a key role in ensuring the security and integrity of our databases. What will you do?

  • Implement and manage database activity monitoring (DAM) solutions to track and analyze database user behavior.
  • Monitor real-time database activity, identify anomalies, and promptly respond to potential security threats.
  • Develop security policies to detect suspicious database activity.
  • Work with application teams and data owners to identify potential database risks.
  • Create and maintain documentation on technical processes and troubleshooting.
  • Stay up to date if emerging threats and industry best practices to continually enhance DAM strategies.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Strong knowledge of database technologies, architecture & standard query language (SQL).
  • Detailed knowledge of database systems, security protocols, and access controls.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret database activity logs to identify potential security issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • 2-5 years of cyber security or relevant experience
  • Nice to have :

  • Experience in implementing and managing database activity monitoring solutions.
  • Professional Designation (e.g. CISSP, CRISC, CCSP, etc..)
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming language for data visualization
