Assistant Controller

Kontron Canada is looking for a dynamic Assistant Controller to support the finance leadership team in the day-to-day management of accounting and financial activities, ensuring data accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and the production of analysis to support decision-making. Kontron's embedded computing systems interact with a wide variety of devices in rugged environments such as avionics, transportation, defense, and telecommunications. To get a taste of the work environment at Kontron Canada, watch the following video in French: https://youtu.be/YQQIQ_8R_yo AN OVERVIEW OF THE CHALLENGES AHEAD:Technical TasksParticipate in the monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, including the preparation of audit files and financial statements;Analyse period-end results: journal entries and account reconciliations;Analyze budget variances and explain deviations;Prepare monthly forecast review and update excel files & corporate tools;Provide support to the Finance leadership team in developing solutions (reports, performance indicators, controls);Support managers in their business strategies (e.g. budget coordination, financial presentation);Coach the financial analysts in calculating product cost prices and analyzing direct and indirect costs. Management TasksSupervise accounting transactions made by the accounting personnel;Coordinate the activities of the accounting technician, other than receivables. YOU WILL IMPRESS US IF YOU HAVE:Education: Bachelor's degree in administration;Specialization: Finance or Accounting;Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of Excel;Experience: Ideally 5 years;Asset: Hold a CPA title, SAP knowledge;Languages: French and English (written and spoken). Functional English is required due to various multidisciplinary tasks including notably communications and financial reports with the corporate and sister companies in the Kontron group;Other: Travel between the Boisbriand and Cornwall sites one to two days per week. Partial work from home is also possible.
