You as a Project Manager - Insurance Assessment will :
- Represent Owner’s and Clients by providing leadership, oversight and direction managing individual and / or multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver the full project life-cycle solutions for clients. This includes Pre-Design, Design, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Operational Readiness and one year warranty reviews.
- Manage all facets of a project and take on direct accountability for project delivery in order to meet and exceed established goals including scope, schedule, budget, procurement, quality and risk.
- Interact and coordinate the activities of the Consultants and Contractors and provide direction to consultant team and contractor, on behalf of the Owner.
- Develop and implement a communication plan for project, maintain written reports / meeting minutes, and track progress and status of each project.
- Prepare scope of work, request for proposal documents, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
- Work with Building Consultant team (PA&M) to identify risks in project estimate, verify scope of work and ultimately deliver the required class of estimate for clients in Insurance sector.
- Attend Insurance losses to verify scope to assist with estimating exercise. Work with clients on a consultancy basis to determine specific project details.
- Maintain historical databases, including labour rates, material pricing, and project costs, for future reference.
- Review third party estimates for accuracy and report via technical narrative to clients.
Is this the right role for you?
Architectural and or Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training in addition to 8- 10 years’ experience / knowledge of construction, design and management. PMP designation is an asset.5+ years experience in the insurance restoration world5+ years of experience and knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts.Estimating experience in Lump Sum, Construction Management and T&M contracts is essential.You have experience in completing own forces estimates including but not limited to selective demolition, rough carpentry and concrete and formwork.You have a strong understanding of insurance, restoration, construction beyond estimating including scheduling, project management, risk assessment, constructability, and market conditions.You have a working knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts.Experience with Xactimate Software is an assetEllisDon is proud to provide this unique career opportunity that provides continuous learning, opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package within an environment that is committed to inclusion and respects diversity.
