Our client in York Region, ON is actively looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join their team.

Position Description :

• Install power supply wiring and conduit systems for new machinery and equipment, including robots, conveyors, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and relay-based systems.
• Connect electrical power and interface wiring between new and existing equipment to ensure proper system integration.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical devices such as transformers, motors, lighting systems, and replace damaged wiring or fixtures as needed.
• Conduct testing on malfunctioning equipment, working closely with management to determine solutions and implement corrective actions.
• Replace or repair faulty electrical components such as switches, relays, motors, and position sensors.
• Diagnose and repair defective electronic parts, including printed circuit boards and control systems.
• Plan and execute electrical wiring layouts for facility infrastructure and install conduit, wiring, and electrical components in accordance with code and safety regulations.
• Identify and fix issues related to mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic components of production machinery and equipment.
• Possess hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting presses or similar industrial machines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring equipment and tools are cleaned and stored at the end of each shift.
• Communicate maintenance issues clearly and promptly to supervisors or managers.
• Flexibility to adjust work hours or shifts on short notice in response to production demands or emergencies.
• Respond professionally and promptly to calls, including during overtime when required to support operations.
• Demonstrate good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Apply basic math skills including the ability to calculate ratios and percentages as required for electrical tasks.
• Understand and comply with WHMIS / GHS safety standards.
• Work independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Follow all company policies, safety standards, and workplace procedures as outlined in employee handbooks and protocols.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with IATF quality standards, BOS procedures, and ISO environmental systems.
• Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives and safety programs.
• Maintain work areas in compliance with S standards for workplace organization.
• Attend mandatory training sessions as part of the internal training program.
• Perform all duties with a strong commitment to safety, health, and environmental responsibility.
• Carry out other duties or projects as assigned by management or based on operational needs.
