Job Title : Maintenance Electrician

Our client in York Region, ON is actively looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join their team.
Position Description :
- Install power supply wiring and conduit systems for new machinery and equipment, including robots, conveyors, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and relay-based systems.
- Connect electrical power and interface wiring between new and existing equipment to ensure proper system integration.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical devices such as transformers, motors, lighting systems, and replace damaged wiring or fixtures as needed.
- Conduct testing on malfunctioning equipment, working closely with management to determine solutions and implement corrective actions.
- Replace or repair faulty electrical components such as switches, relays, motors, and position sensors.
- Diagnose and repair defective electronic parts, including printed circuit boards and control systems.
- Plan and execute electrical wiring layouts for facility infrastructure and install conduit, wiring, and electrical components in accordance with code and safety regulations.
- Identify and fix issues related to mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic components of production machinery and equipment.
- Possess hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting presses or similar industrial machines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring equipment and tools are cleaned and stored at the end of each shift.
- Communicate maintenance issues clearly and promptly to supervisors or managers.
- Flexibility to adjust work hours or shifts on short notice in response to production demands or emergencies.
- Respond professionally and promptly to calls, including during overtime when required to support operations.
- Demonstrate good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Apply basic math skills including the ability to calculate ratios and percentages as required for electrical tasks.
- Understand and comply with WHMIS / GHS safety standards.
- Work independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Follow all company policies, safety standards, and workplace procedures as outlined in employee handbooks and protocols.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with IATF quality standards, BOS procedures, and ISO environmental systems.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives and safety programs.
- Maintain work areas in compliance with S standards for workplace organization.
- Attend mandatory training sessions as part of the internal training program.
- Perform all duties with a strong commitment to safety, health, and environmental responsibility.
- Carry out other duties or projects as assigned by management or based on operational needs.
Skills & Qualifications :
Industrial Trade certification as Industrial Electrician and / or PLC certificationMinimum years hands on experience in a Manufacturing EnvironmentPLC and programming experienceAbility to Create, manipulate and follow robot programs for ABB, Fanuc, Client for repair and modificationpurposesMig, Stick and Tig weldingPhysically fit and able to lift up to lbs.If you meet the above qualifications, please submit your resume.
