NPCA’s work supports the conservation, enhancement, and sustainability of healthy watersheds with programs and services that focus on drinking water source protection, flood and hazard management, endangered species protection, ecosystem restoration, community stewardship, education, and land management.
NPCA is the caretaker of 43 conservation areas within the Niagara Peninsula watershed held in public trust for recreation, heritage preservation, conservation, and education. These natural and shared greenspaces marry nature, culture, and adventure to create limitless opportunities for discovery.

Summary of Duties
The Program Associate – Watershed Restoration and Stewardship holds an important organizational role as a team member responsible for assisting with the implementation of the NPCA’s Restoration and Tree Planting Programs.
This position may be funded in part through the Canada Summer Jobs program and candidates must be between the ages of 15-30 and eligible under this program : (have Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or Refugee Protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; have a valid social insurance number; and be legally entitled to work in Canada).

Salary : $18.00-$18.50 / hour up to 35 hrs / week

Location : NPCA Main Office - 3350 Merrittville Hwy, Thorold, ON; with travel within the watershed
