Launch your career in corrections with the Corrections Officer & Juvenile Counsellor Training Program at Manitoba Justice, in partnership with Southwest Métis Employment & Training (MET).
This 8-week program equips Red River Métis Citizens with the skills and certifications needed for rewarding roles in corrections, offering financial assistance and stipends to eligible participants.
Program Highlights :
- Competitive Pay : $31.62 - $40.65 per hour
- Duration : 8 weeks, full-time (Monday to Friday)
- Locations : Winnipeg (year-round), Milner Ridge, Brandon, The Pas (as needed)
- Stipend : Provided during training for eligible participants

Unemployed or underemployed Red River Métis Citizen from the Southwest Region , 18+Pass Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Child & Adult Abuse Registry ChecksHold a full Class 5 (5F) Manitoba Driver's LicensePossess Standard First Aid CPR-C & AED CertificateStrong communication, problem-solving skills, and physical / mental readinessCommit to an employment & training action planConditions of Employment :
