Job Description

When You Join Us You Will:

• Provide involvement and support in promoting safety in an industrial environment through the utilization of engineering and scientific controls
• Assist the assigned manager with project management, including tendering, negotiating, planning, installation, supervision of projects, commissioning and project closeout as needed.
• Support the design and installation of short term continuous improvement projects
• Become familiar with environmental, operational, and safety codes and compliance and ensure best practices are implemented as required
• Become familiar with continuous and batching manufacturing processes.
• Help sustain 5S program.
• Perform safety audits and hazard inspections.
• Creating and Updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other training documentation.
• Collection of data for site environmental projects and studies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Our Ideal Candidate Would Be

• 3rd or 4th year student currently enrolled in a University Engineering program, preferably Mechanical.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functionality), Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Able to read and interpret drawings.
• Ability to accurately compile and disseminate data.
• Strong critical thinking, organizational, and time management skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and function efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Project management experience is considered an asset.
• Committed to the health and safety of employees, contractors, and visitors.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM
