Join to apply for the CNC Machinist – Boring Mill role at Valiant TMS. This is a night shift position in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. We are seeking a CNC Machinist with experience in machining precise components for tools, jigs, fixtures, and gages. You will collaborate with other skilled machinists and toolmakers to deliver high-quality results for our customers.
Compensation : $29.00 – $33.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on education, experience, skillset, or location.
What You’ll Get To Do
- Blueprint and schematic review : Analyze blueprints and drawings to determine machining processes, dimensions, and assembly procedures using knowledge of tool design, shop math, and machining methodologies.
CNC programming and machining operations :
Program the machine using a Fanuc controller with MastercamLoad, evaluate, and run specific programs by understanding controller capabilities and parametersOperate laser and probe for precision tool and datum pickupAdjust machine settings, feeds, and speeds to maintain quality and efficiencyVerification and conformance : Verify the accuracy and alignment of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure specifications and tolerances are met.Post-machining detailing : Deburr and finish details by filing, tapping, grinding, or scraping.Machine maintenance : Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.What We’re Looking For
Experience : 3+ years of machining experience.Qualifications : Completed apprenticeship and certification as a machinist are assets.Technical Skills :
Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprintsStrong safety focus with attention to detail for precise machiningKnowledge of G-code, M-code, and GD&T principlesPrevious experience using a Fanuc controllerFamiliarity with Flexible Clamping System (FCS) for CNC machines is an assetAttention to Detail : Pride in workmanship at all phases to meet and exceed customer expectationsTeamwork : Ability to work effectively in a team environmentFlexibility : Ability to adapt work hours to accommodate production timelines when necessaryWork Authorization : Must be legally authorized to work in CanadaWhat We Offer
