Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations, ensuring efficient and cost‑effective processes for inbound and outbound shipments. This role includes coordinating delivery schedules, optimizing load planning, maintaining carrier relationships, and ensuring compliance with customs and company standards. The Logistics Coordinator also acts as a primary point of contact between departments, carriers, and vendors.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate appointment bookings for all inbound and outbound shipments while ensuring delivery accuracy.
• Manage and maintain logistics databases, including carrier freight records and ERP systems.
• Develop and execute load plans in collaboration with the Logistics Load Planners.
• Prepare, review, and verify customs paperwork, addressing discrepancies proactively.
• Monitor and communicate updates regarding shipment statuses to relevant departments and external stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve logistics‑related issues to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
• Analyze transportation costs, recommending strategies to improve cost efficiency.
• Build and maintain relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to optimize operations.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior logistics team members.
• Lead or contribute to special projects to enhance the logistics workflow.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to transportation and customs.
• Other core expectations as defined by the company.
