POSITION PURPOSE Reporting to the Program Manager, Data and Forecasting is responsible for developing and updating the Region's Activity-Based Model (ABM) and data analytical tools in support of transportation plans and policies, rapid transit project assessment, road and transit Environmental Assessments and other transportation planning studies; performing enhancements to improve model accuracy and capabilities; developing and maintaining databases, tools, techniques, templates, and manuals to analyze emerging travel trends and needs; participating in internal / external working committees to share information and develop relationships; providing support and input to the review of advanced travel demand modelling research and data integration and management; and monitoring changes to municipal, Regional, Provincial and Federal plans, policies, standards and legislation affecting the transportation system.
