Assistant Controller

Kontron Canada is looking for a dynamic Assistant Controller to support the finance leadership team in the day-to-day management of accounting and financial activities, ensuring data accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and the production of analysis to support decision-making.

Kontron's embedded computing systems interact with a wide variety of devices in rugged environments such as avionics, transportation, defense, and telecommunications.

AN OVERVIEW OF THE CHALLENGES AHEAD :

Technical Tasks

• Participate in the monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, including the preparation of audit files and financial statements;
• Analyse period-end results : journal entries and account reconciliations;
• Analyze budget variances and explain deviations;
• Prepare monthly forecast review and update excel files & corporate tools;
• Provide support to the Finance leadership team in developing solutions (reports, performance indicators, controls);
• Support managers in their business strategies (e.g. budget coordination, financial presentation);
• Coach the financial analysts in calculating product cost prices and analyzing direct and indirect costs.
