About The Role

The Screed Operator is responsible for the operation of the screed, which is on the rear of the paving machine. The operator is responsible for setting the depth and width of the asphalt as it is laid by the paving machine. Ultimately this position is responsible for the ride-ability of the finished product.

The Screed Operator is responsible for the operation of the screed, which is on the rear of the paving machine. What You’ll Accomplish

• Responsible for setting the depth and width of the asphalt. It is a critical part of the road-building process, as the depth must be exact to the specifications.
• Shovel asphalt into holes in the surface and / or areas where the paving machine cannot access. Provide excellent internal customer service. Exceeds internal customers’ expectations of services. Follow all safety, compliance and environmental requirements in alignment with company standards.
• Perform related work as assigned
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

What We’re Looking For

Required Work Experience : A minimum of 3 years of experience as a paving screed operator

Required Training / Certifications : Valid Class 5 Drivers License
