Civil Engineering Student

We are seeking an Engineering Student in the Fraser Valley , currently studying civil engineering, who is looking to jump start their career in the civil construction industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Fall term co-op experience to gain practical knowledge and hands- on training in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities :

• Assist the project team with various tasks related to civil construction projects.
• Coordinate project activities and develop project schedules;
• Perform quality control assessments and project inspections;
• Compile and complete reports;
• Assist Project superintendent with crew supervision;
• Perform other labour duties as required by management.
• Assist with site surveying and quantities

Qualifications :

• Successfully completed or working towards a degree or diploma in civil engineering;
• Have a strong work ethic and works well in a team environment;
• Be willing to travel within the province for work;
• Natural ability to solve problems, communicate clearly and effectively;
• Enjoy working outdoors in a fast paced and challenging environment;
• Eagerness to learn, contribute, and take on new challenges
• Valid Canadian driver’s license, with a clean driving abstract;
• Physically capable of walking on uneven terrain, climbing slopes, and carrying 20 kilograms;

The hourly wage for this position will be $23 / hr. but will be discussed during the interview stage, taking into consideration candidate qualifications and experience.
