We are looking for a reliable and motivated person to help us at home and with our children starting January 2025. If you are a student looking for a part-time "after-school" job, this opportunity may be perfect for you!Main Duties : Pick up our two children (4 years old and 10 months) from daycare by active transport (about 2km away, on foot or by bike).Help with household chores : laundry, folding, tidying toys, basic cleaning, etc.Assist in preparing simple meals for the family.Accompany one child to an activity (e.g., swimming lessons).Other miscellaneous tasks based on the family’s needs.Working Hours (tax slips will be provided) : About 15 hours per week with some flexibility.4 pm to 6pm, 5 days per week M-F.One afternoon on Saturday or Sunday, about every other week.Occasionally evenings from 6 pm to 10 pm, during the week or on weekends.Skills and Qualifications : Reliability, good judgment, flexibility and strong organizational skills.Experience caring for children and infants (references will be requested).Experience or certification in first aid (a plus).Basic to intermediate knowledge of French is necessary to interact in the daycare environment.Interest in working with the same family for months to years to come (a plus).Speaking a language other than French or English (e.g., Spanish, Arabic) would be an asset for exposing the children to another language. Work environment : We are a family with two lovely children, a French-speaking mom and an English-speaking dad who frequently travels outside the city. We live on Plateau Mont-Royal, near the Mont-Royal Metro station.
