What will you do:
- Assist clients with bathing (partial, complete, tub, or shower)
- Assist clients with oral hygiene, hair care, dressing, and all activities of daily living
- Assist clients with ambulation, transferring, and positioning in bed or chair
- Assist with physio exercises, ROM, etc. as per therapist’s care plan
- Assist clients with feeding and light meal preparation
- Perform light housekeeping duties as per service plan
- Make/change clients bedding as required
- Assist clients with toileting or incontinence care
- Assist and/or remind client to take medication (Do not administer medication)
- Report any changes in health condition, or safety risks to immediate supervisor
- Perform delegated tasks, specific to each client; delegated by nurse or immediate supervisor
What will you need:
- PSW or DSW Certificate or a successful first year nursing completion
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination
- Vehicle required with valid driver’s license
- Car insurance with a liability of $2 million
- Valid CPR
- Step 2 TB Test (Completed within the last 2 years)
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check (less than 3 months old)
- Must be available to work every second weekend
- Must be available for 20 hours per week minimum
- Be able to work evening shifts from 14:00 to 22:00 or something similar.

Incentives:
We welcome students and recent graduates to join us and enjoy the incentives funded by Health Force Ontario:
- $10,000 to recent PSW graduates on or after April 1, 2023 in exchange for a 12-month commitment to AHSI.
- $10,000 to PSW who were previously trained and, for the past 12 months, have not worked in a role providing direct patient, client or resident care as part of an organization providing health care or long-term care services in Ontario;
- an additional $10,000 to support relocation costs for those recent PSW graduates committing to work with a home and community care employer in a rural, remote, or northern area for 12 months.
