Description de posteStrong backend development experience in production environments Proficiency in at least one backend language : Python, Go or Node.js Strong experience building APIs and distributed systems Experience working with SQL and / or NoSQL databases Experience with cloud platforms and backend deployment workflows Strong understanding of system design and scalability principles Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills Experience working with blockchain or Web3 backend integrations Experience with message queues and event-driven architecture Experience with containerization and CI / CD pipelines Experience working in high-traffic or data-intensive systems Competitive compensation and performance incentives Flexible remote work environment Opportunity to build high-scale production systems Collaborative engineering culture Learning and development support
Employment : Full-time or Part-time | Reports to : Head of Technology / VP Engineering
Comp : $240,000 $260,000 USD / year (DOE & location) + equity or project tokens (standard vesting)

Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Back End Engineer to design, build, and scale backend services, APIs, and data systems that support high-performance applications. You will help define backend architecture, improve system reliability, and guide best engineering practices across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services and microservices
- Build and maintain REST / GraphQL APIs
- Design database schemas and optimize data storage performance
- Improve system performance, reliability, and security
- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting systems
- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams
- Lead backend architecture decisions and technical planning
- Review code and mentor other engineers
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize backend performance
