Job Description
Our leading construction client is looking for an SAP HCM and Payroll Functional Analyst to join their team. This will be a hybrid role in Etobicoke.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with business process leads and end users to gather project and enhancement requirements.
- Work with functional team members and the development team to design, build, and implement functionalities that meet business needs.
- Coordinate with the Solution Architect to ensure specific functionalities align with the overall technical vision.
- Manage application design to match Aecon’s business processes and requirements.
- Create functional specifications and assist in developing technical specifications.
- Collaborate with the Technical / Development team to deliver functional system enhancements.
- Ensure correct application access roles and permissions with the internal application security team.
- Develop or contribute to the creation of training materials as needed.
- Act as a liaison for troubleshooting, investigating, analyzing, and resolving software issues in production incidents.
- Configure application functionalities for any requirements or enhancements.
- Document and execute Unit Testing and System Integration Testing.
- Coordinate with the QA Lead and QA Team to ensure appropriate QA testing.
- Collaborate with other internal IT departments to ensure optimal work processes.
- Provide support and expertise after the initial rollout projects go live.
- Ensure adherence to current best practices for applications and underlying infrastructure (servers, databases, security, etc.).
- Follow Application and IS change management processes and expedite changes for high-priority issues.
- Work closely with application support / implementation vendors for day-to-day tasks or other projects.
- Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits as required.
- Prepare documentation and training materials as needed.
- Manage multiple deliverables and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications :
5 to 10 years of experience in SAP HCM & Payroll configuration.University Degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.Expertise in SAP HCM (Human Capital Management), including SAP Payroll, Time Management, Benefits, and interface building.Hands-on experience with at least two end-to-end implementation and support projects.Deep understanding of Canadian payroll tax rules and regulations for accurate payroll processing.Ability to configure and customize PCRs within the SAP system to meet specific Canadian payroll requirements, including deductions, taxes, and benefits calculations.Strong asset if you have SAP SuccessfactorsInternational payroll experienceStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to address urgent payroll-related issues efficiently.Excellent decision-making, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.Experience in the construction industry is an asset.Ability to perform business impact assessments and troubleshoot complex integration issues.Skilled in gathering business requirements.Ability to educate end users on system configuration and design alternatives.Support clients through decision-making and process design.Act as a subject matter expert on projects
