LEAD, WIRELESS FRAUD AND PHYSICAL SECURITY

POSITION SUMMARY

The telecommunications market is undergoing a transformation and Cogeco is forging ahead with our plan to enter the Canadian mobile services market. We are looking for a Lead, Wireless Fraud and Physical Security to help develop our wireless roadmap and join a team made of creative innovators and visionaries in start-up mode!

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Lead, Wireless Fraud and Physical Security. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining strategies and procedures to protect our organization against fraudulent activities and physical security threats. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the safety and security of our assets, employees, and customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement fraud prevention strategies specific to mobility services, including but not limited to ride-sharing, transportation, and logistics.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plans accordingly.
  • Monitor transactional data and investigate suspicious activities to detect and prevent fraud.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, law enforcement agencies, and third-party partners to investigate incidents of fraud and take appropriate actions.
  • Design and implement physical security measures for mobility assets, facilities, and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure the effectiveness of security systems, including surveillance cameras, access controls, and alarms.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees and partners on fraud prevention and physical security best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to fraud and physical security in the mobility sector.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management to communicate key findings, recommendations, and performance metrics.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies, implementing incident response plans to minimize impact and prevent recurrence.

ACADEMIC TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, cybersecurity, risk management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
  • WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 2-4 years of experience in fraud prevention, physical security, or a related field, with a specific experience in wireless and. / or telecommunications
  • SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

  • Bilingualism (English / French) is an asset.The position requires working closely with external and internal resources across North America.
  • Flexibility to work in a variety of settings, including in internal and partner offices, remote environment, and / or traditional office space depending on the needs of the business and team
  • Strong project / vendor management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors / partners
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify patterns indicative of fraudulent activities
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to think creatively to find solutions
  • Must be self-motivated and a quick learner.
  • Familiarity with fraud detection tools, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to fraud prevention and physical security.
